Is it required to leave a deposit?
Yes, in São Miguel it is required to leave a deposit of €500 for the scooters up to 125cc and a €1.000 for the rest of the motorbikes (from 300cc).
Is a credit card required for the deposit?
No. You can also leave the deposit in cash.
What are the requirements to rent a scooter or motorbike?
It depends on the vehicle: for the scooters up to 125 cc it’s required to be at least 18 years old and have the right category on your Driving License (A1 or A). You are also allowed to drive scooters up to 125cc with a B License if you are at least 25 years old. For the ones from 126cc it’s required to have A License.
Can I take the scooter to another island or location?
In São Miguel is not allowed to take the vehicle to another island. However we offer rentals in others islands.
What type of insurances are available?
The vehicles come with the mandatory insurance by law – the third party liability. There’s no possibility to have an extra coverage.
