What are the requirements to rent a scooter?
In Pico is required to have at least 18 years old and having a Driving License for the matching category (A1 or A). If you are at least 25 years old and have a B (car) license, you are also allowed to drive a scooter up to 125cc.
Is a credit card required to book?
No. It’s not required to have a credit card. You can pay the rental using cash, wire transfer, debit or credit card.
Is it mandatory to have a deposit?
No. In Pico is not necessary to have a deposit.
Can I take the scooter to another island or location?
Yes, you are allowed to bring the scooter to the “triangle”: São Jorge and Faial, as long as you return it to Pico. You can also pick it up and drop-off in Madalena ferry terminal, Airport and São Roque do Pico ferry terminal.
What type of insurances are available?
The scooter has the mandatory insurance by law – the third party liability. There’s no possibility to have an extra coverage.
